The Best Christmas Gift Ideas for Sauna Lovers

24/11/2020

In this “Best Christmas Gift Ideas for Sauna Lovers” article, I listed the best sauna products for this Christmas. Do you know someone who is passionate about Sauna?

Well, I have the perfect gift ideas for you!

We all love Christmas, and if not Christmas then at least gifting and sauna!

This year’s gift guide focuses on products that are easy to take with you to your sauna or spa. Hopefully, we can go back to our regular sauna and spa visits soon!

What do you take with you to the spa or sauna? Towel, sauna seat cover, slippers, hair and skin care products and possibly a drink? Let me know your sauna essentials in the comments below!

1. Roll Towel – Jokipiin Pellava

I have used Jokipiin Pellava´s linen roll towel for over a year now. I must say, it has been really useful, especially here in Germany.

Here, people do not use small sauna seat covers, they use the largest towels they can find. They are big enough to fit their whole body; back, bum and even their feet.

I have used the roll towel for this exact purpose, to protect the benches. It is very important for Germans that you do not sweat on the benches. And never touch the person next to you.

The roll towel is great because it is easy and convenient to pack and unpack. You need to take many things with you when you go to a sauna; a second towel, slippers, hair and skin care products, change of clothes, a hairbrush and so on.

Roll towel saves space in your sauna bag and that can only be a bonus!

2. Hair turban – HELMIKA OY

When going to the sauna, it is a good idea to protect your hair. This is especially true if you have dyed your hair. Last summer I received a hair turban sewn from bamboo terry cloth from Helmika Oy.

The bamboo terry is an exciting material in that it is both antibacterial and antistatic. It is also silky soft. Bamboo regrows at a rapid pace, making it an environmentally friendly product. The only downside is that Bamboo doesn’t grow in the north, so it has to be imported from elsewhere.

Hair turban can also be used in the hot tub in summer and winter. You can also wear a hair turban after the sauna. You should always have two hair turbans with you. One for the sauna (to protect the hair from heat) and one for after the sauna.

3. Shampoo – Kaurilan Sauna

I can’t help but praise this particular shampoo!

It is easy and convenient to take with you to a sauna or a swimming trip.

The shampoo does not take up much space in the sauna bag and it is great for your hair and nature.

Personally, I don’t necessarily need a conditioner when I use this shampoo, which is a real miracle because I have naturally tangled hair.

The range includes oat, blackcurrant and avocado shampoo bars.

You can order Kaurilan Sauna Products from my Sauna-Shop.

4. Clean Baltic Sea Salt Soap – Osmia

Osmia´s Clean Baltic Sea Soap has been produced through the John Nurminen Foundation’s Clean Baltic Sea projects.

The aim of these projects is to bring about a visible improvement for the state of the Baltic Sea.

The soap is absolutely wonderful for hands and the whole body. The soap is made from vegetable oil and 30% of its weight is salt.

The soap is handmade in Finland.

By purchasing Clean Baltic Sea Soap, you donate € 2.50 to Clean Baltic Sea projects.

6. Sauna bag – Lapuan Kankurit

Lapuan Kankurit’s ESKIMO shoulder bag is the perfect sauna bag. The bag is so stylish that you can forget about other bags, backpacks and plastic bags. This sauna bag fits everything you need: those two towels, sandals, a hair turban and a cosmetic bag.

The Eskimo bag is available in two colours, black and linen. I personally think both colours look great. The bag is made of eco-cotton.

Did you know that Lapuan Kankurit is a responsible and environmentally friendly company? They have made a Responsibility Manifesto so you know exactly where the linen, cotton and wool they use come from. 90% of the products are manufactured in Finland.
