SISU-SAUNA in the German Alps
A longtime dream has come true and I am happy to offer you an authentic Finnish sauna in the German Alps in the village of Oberreute.
Sisu-Sauna was born out of a fire to offer customers an authentic Finnish sauna experience. Sauna is part of the Finnish identity and many Finns cannot live without a sauna.
Some Finns go to the sauna every day and the time of year does not matter. For Finns, the sauna is like a shower – it is part of their daily routine. Many workplaces have a sauna and employees can take a sauna right at the end of the working day.
In Finland, everyone from babies to grandparents and even animals take a sauna.

In Finland, people take a sauna all year round and I would argue that there are even more saunas in summer than in winter. Summer, sauna, birch, lake and sausage. It’s best.
Sisu, on the other hand, is part of the Finnish mentality. If something seems difficult, the Finn will go at it with guts and often succeeds. The word Sisu cannot be translated into another language with just one word.
Sisu is perseverance, persistent and unrelenting willpower, persistence and indomitability.
The sauna is also used for various sauna treatments, scrubs, foot baths, masks for both face and hair.
Birch whisk is part of Finnish sauna culture and is one of the oldest sauna treatments.

The perfect place for your own group and you get to take a sauna in peace and quiet in the German Alps at an altitude of over 850 metres.
Recommended group size is a maximum of 10 people. The sauna can accommodate 6 people at a time.
The price includes use of the sauna, sauna heating + wood, use of the cold room, shower and toilet, towels and final cleaning.
